Nagzira Wildlife Sanctuary is established in the year 1970. The name Nagzira has chosen from the “Nag”, which means snake, because, inside the Sanctuary, there is the temple of Mahadev and “Zira” means a water source generated from the Pongezara hill of Nagzira.
